We finally landed on the layout, size as well as deciding to go with a travel trailer vs a full motor-home, the reality of having to trailer a car behind our motor-home, i.e. 2 motors, 2 transmissions, more to fail caused us to opt for this set up. We found what we thought was the coolest trailer ever, an hour South of Flagstaff AZ. so we jumped into the car on a Thursday night and drove 11 hours(!) to find that the trailer that I’d spent a couple of hours talking with the seller about, and for which we’d sent a down payment, was a rusty inoperable pile of junk. Crestfallen we left to have lunch, discuss our options and hope for our money back (thankfully returned to us). We recalled this trailer in Cortez, Colorado and realized it was on the way home. We called the seller and it was still available! The next morning after spending the night in a super cool restored motel in Cortez, we discovered the “Streak” and fell instantly in love. We became fast friends with the sellers, Steve and Susan. They were so encouraging about our project and gave us a generous break on the price of the trailer. What a world!
